Blood Pressure Screening (NO FEE)
Health Promotion offiers monthly blood pressure screenings. Go to Health Promotion Calendar for dates. Health Promotion staff can also monitor your blood pressure at any time during regular facilty hours, or departments can call to sign up for an onsite blood pressure screening. Blood Sugar Screening (NO FEE).
Health Promotion offers monthly blood sugar (fingerstick) screenings. An eight hour fast is required. Go to Health Promotion Calendar for dates. Call 262-6314 to make an appointment.
Cholesterol/Multichemistry Screening ($30)
The cholesterol/multichemistry blood test checks your cholesterol, triglycerides, blood sugar, kidney and liver levels. Blood pressure and weight is also checked during this screening. Results are sent to you and your primary care physician. An appointment is required. Screenings are offered two times per month. Mammograms ($279)
The mammography screening is conducted by the Breast Clinic of Winston-Salem. The Breast Clinic will not screen women younger than age 35, women with breast implants, women who are breast feeding, women who have a personal history of breast cancer, or women who are pregnant. You cannot have a screening if you have had a mammogram within the last 12 months. The fee is $279. The mammogram is $248.00 and the Computer Aided Detection System (CAD) is $31.00. The fee is filed with the PPO. Our next mammography screening will be November 17, 18, and 19. An appointment is required. Results are provided to you and to your primary care physician. Skin Cancer Screening (NO FEE)
